PJ O'Hare micrometer sight for 1903 Springfield

I just picked up an old PJ O'Hare micrometer sight from Ebay. I thought I did well on the purchase but wondered why a few of those never seem to show up here at GB or other gun sites. Have any of you ever run into those sights over the years? I'm really just curious and wonder if they are really rare or just thrown out over the years. Beach


P.S. I did purchase my 1934 PJ O'Hare competitive shooting catalog here on GB and learned theat the micrometer sight cost $5.25 in 1934. Beach

    Pretty rare! I've only seen 1 in person in over 45 years. An old shooter brought it in to my store 15 years ago to show me how they did it in his day. Wouldn't sell it for love nor money.
