Well, since the subject of the .45-70 came up, I'm curious, what kind of lever guns
do you like (the .45-70 is just one of many I like).
Why do you like your choices?
Personally, I like the historical angle.[8D]

It was a sweetheart round.
So, I'm looking to buy a Marlin 1894CL.[8D]
I like the Savages because they have a unique style and mechanism. I like the old Marlins because the design is better and the asthetics beat the crap out of any Winchester lever gun starting with the 1894 on up to present.
Old Winchesters 1866, 1873, 1876 etc.. are sweeet, but 94's on up, do not appeal to me for some reason. The one exception is the Winchester Model 88. Could be because of the similarity to a Savage????
It makes for a great picture!!!!
Savage 99s, 9422s, 39s, 336, Most of Berts collection.
I completely agree with the addition of the Marlin 1893 .32-40 (my great grampa's rifle)
Love to shoot it.. =o)
secondary.. the 45/70, .30-30Win, and .357mag.
God Bless the LeveRevolution ammo!
Marlin 1895 45-70
Savage 1899 30-30
Savage 99 300 Savage
Winchester 94 32 Special
Winchester 1886 45-70
Winchester 1895 30-06
Western Auto(Marlin) 30-30
The craftsmanship and machining on those rifles is amazing.
Not to mention the fact that i have one, in great condition, and i only paid $400 for it 3 years ago.[:D]
Jeff
my big fave is the Winchester Model 94AE in .356 calibre!
I have one of these.
Marlin 336 in 375 Winchester, Marlin 1895 in 45-70, Winchester 1886 in 45-90.
