I hate storms

Actually I love storms. Just not when they drop stuff on things I own. Or rip off shingles.

We had a storm beat the crap out of us this morning around 11am. Just got my power back. Hail, winds around 60+mph, heavy rain. Dropped a limb on my newly aquired boat. Took down my phone line, thank god for Vonage. Ripped a dozen or so shingles off my garage. The red thing is the center section of my smoker, was blown aross the yard, along with some saw horses and lawn furniture.

    Dang Cubs, you got hit a bit. We had some more rain and some pretty good wind up here close to Ft. Wayne, but nothing that strong. We have had almost 4 inches of rain in the last week and a half and that has brought the field work to a complete halt. We need a week of dry weather to get back in the fields.

    CUBS;
    At least y'all still have limbs on trees.After the last 2 summers and 4 hurricanes most of the still standing trees around here look like telephone poles with little green nubs stickin out of'em.I feel for your loss but until u get 155 MPH wind that blows one way for four hours, then the other way for four more, u ain't seen "shingle-strippin-branch-breakin"storms.I'm not even gonna get into HEAVY RAIN....But, Palm Beach is where i choose to live, and until i go to Panama to work and possibly live i'll deal with it .

    Tell us you're insured just in case something worse comes along.

    Insurance is paramount !!.I was pitifuly unger insured, but luckily had enough to repair my home .I no longer have a screen=room though.I now pay extremely hi premiums,but have my home insured for double it's worth (including contents) I HOPE THIS NEXT HURRICANE TAKES IT AWAY AT THE FOUNDATION!!!!

    Looks like firewood, delivered right to your yard. Glad that's all it did. We had bean size hail for almost 10 minutes. I mean the ground was white. The wind wasn't like yours though. Maybe 30-35 mph. I almost didn't want to look at our garden. 30 some 'mater plants, 300 onions, 3 rows of peas, etc. Not to mention that Cath planted about six flats of flowers yesterday. Except for some stripped leaves and stems, I don't think we'll lose much.
