Thank you to all for the encouraging words. It really meant alot to hear from all of you. Yes, I am proud of my family, but this is something I thought I could never do. I worked very hard to get here. My wondeful husband helped me get to this point with his encouraging words and support. I will post a picture of me in uniform when I get one.

As an ex-marine, I can say you are right to go with the navy. Better food, schools, treatment, equipment, and the list goes on. I was issued equipment in the marines that I would trash in the civilian world.

Good for you! My oldest daughter joined last summer, and is assigend to Camp LeJeune NC where she is a Hospital Corpsman for the Navy. Worried about for a while, but she really enjoys it, and seems to be going places.
