Somewthing weird about media...

How come the media will always say "Brown sedan" or "black coupe" or "White van", but if the car is little more pricey, like a Mercedes or BMW, theyll say the brand, Mercedes or BMW. I dont understand, like, does anybody really care if it was a mercedes? And if they do, what makes you think they wont care if its a Geo?

Sure mercedes and bmw may be nice, but its not like its a frickin Bentley or Aston Martin.

Why do they have to say "The robber used a SEMI-AUTOMATIC hand gun"? John

Probably because a Mercedes or a BMW is so readily recognizable by its emblem. Since people don't read anymore, who would be able to distinguish a Lexus from an Avalon from a Honda from whatever? I don't think it's anything other than witnesses' ability to recognize a brand name.
