    this is one busy guy I cant even get a note through to spiny I heard about a killing of three people in a small town in N.C. and Ive been afraid it was them but....I havent seen the notice in the paper soooo maybe its me they dont want to talk to! [}:)]

    Yep, still busy. Well if you read this I've been trying to call you since Friday to let you know my wife is out of town so I can't come up to Boone. Guess you have probably figured out that much by now. You may want to consider getting another line added.

    Sorry about that, man. We just moved into the house, and our phone-line is about 30 years old and on the quality of New York powerlines. Some kind of a connector problem; we can make outgoing calls just fine, but incoming calls have trouble. Some folks get busy signals, some get through, some get nada at all. Ma Bell's coming out to fix it today, hopefully. Sorry about the mess, man...we didn't know the problem existed until Sunday evening[V]

    Just didn't want you having to wait by the phone like an ugly * date night. I'll try to make it again soon. If all goes well the Mrs. will be back in a few days.
