The Republic (not democracy) is in distress...

Worst distress ever, correct?

Is it appropriate to fly the Stars and Stripes upside down come the 4th?
Would it in fact, be required, since the Republic has become in acuality, a socialist state?

The founders fought our war for independence over much the same situation we find ourselves in now. (taxation without representation, etc) We tell them by the millions, what our wishes are, and SOP for them is to give us the finger...

What say you?

though it may be appropriate in your mind it is not at my house. instead of loosing respect for the flag, we need to get clean house in dc, re-elect noone.

How do you equate what I asked, with disrespect for the flag? It should be well known that the flag flown upside down is a sign of distress....

jp I only meant, In my eyes what we are going thru now is no where near the type of distrees I would qualify for flying it upside down, to me it would be disrespectful to the flag to do so at this time.

While the Republic is in distress, I have always viewed the flying of the colors upside down as a sign of imminent, immediate need of support to prevent the loss of life or the need for additional reinforcement to prevent the enemy from taking complete control of a position or post.

I think we need to not invert it yet or it will start to lose its meaning and when the time truly comes that we need to call for help our fellow patriots will not know how dire the situation is.

My view of the upside down flag is:

It is a sign of PERSONAL distress. Meaning you, yourself are in imenant distress. NOT the country as a whole. I see it as a call for indiviual asstiance.

Where is your "don't tred on me" flag? Seems IMO, more appropriate.
