I got a Millett 6-25x56 LRS (review)

A Christmas present from the misses. very nice. I would recommend this scope to any long range shooter. 6-25x56 mil-dot(with mil-dot bars), 1/4 MOA clicks and a 35mm tube. crystal clear, side parallax yardage readings are exact. positive feeling clicks, can adjust turrets to 0 with an allen wrench. 140 MOA internal adjustment ends the need for an adjusted MOA mount.
compared this scope to a Nightforce 8-32x56(30mm tube, 1/8 MOA clicks) Precicion Benchrest. both scopes at 8 power looked similar in clarity. at 25 power both scopes looked similar in clarity, though the exit pupil was just a little bit larger on the Nightforce. BUT in low light the Milletts 35 mm tube proved worthy, as I could view the target after the rifle with the Nightforce was put back in the box. All the reviews I have read have been outstanding, with the exception of people complaint about how high the rings are. I have the bell and Carlson stock pictured in my signature, where I can adjust the cheek piece up and down, so it didn't matter much to me. I am a Nightforce fan(have been since I first shot with one(I didnt own it)), but overall I think the Millett is a better buy at around half the price.

I didn't think the eye relief was a problem. then again I'm not shooting a 950 JDJ either...
L[:p]L! If you like the Millet, consider checking out Konus M-30 Tactical Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 6.5-25x 44mm Illuminated Mil Dot Reticle (http://www.opticsplanet.net/konus-konuspro-m30-6-5-25x-riflescope-d30mm-7281.html). I have one mounted on one of my .300 WM and paid $320 for it and put in over 100 rounds without a problem.

I have one on my BFG. So far, I've only broke one with that gun. Pretty good considering the 6 scopes that it broke previously from March 2010 to April 2011. Had the replacement Millet on since then, so far so good. When you are shooting a 50BMG it's not a question of IF a scope will break, but WHEN.
While I have never looked thru a Nightforce, the glass is quite clear on the Millet and can actually see better thru the scope at night than naked eye.
On 6 power it's like looking thru the scope on my deer rife at 16 power
