Reading JJ's thread on the Columbine photo reminded me of this photo & bit of story I scanned a few years ago from a pro-firearms rights paper. None of these clowns has half a clue! See if you can spot all the "assault rifles" in this photo!

    And those are not true "assualt weapons" as i am sure that is just a semi-auto thompson and SKS obviously.

    I see a Thompson,a SKS,a what looks like an AK-47 there in the background with the mag laying beside it,looks like a Mini-14 also underneath the Thompson,maybe a Iver Johnson .30 Carbine beside the Thompson but cant really tell.Of all that I see I would say the only 2 that I would call an "Assault Rifle" would be the AK-47 as long as it was Full-Auto and the Thompson if it was Full-Auto but that doesnt fit the role exactly of an Assault Rifle.

    I would be more worried about the knives and cross bow.

    That's not a Thompson. It's just some cast receiver POS styled to resemble one.

    Even if the "faux Thompson" were a full auto weapon, it still wouldn't be an "assault rifle". It fires a pistol bullet.

    If that crossbow has been illegaly converted to full auto than that would be the only assault rifle on the table.
