"That's the stupidest crap ever put on TV. Only thing missing is Billy Mayse."

That's what my 12 year old had to say about watching a hunting show.

Two idiots whispering, so the prey will not hear. What about the camera and sound crew?

Oh What a beautiful, magnificent, majestic, in the prime of his life animal..............so I shot it.

    Yep that's entertainment! [;)]
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

I like hunting and used to watch tons of shows, Im not sure if its me or the shows nowadays. Seems like less class now and more focus on the kill, instead of the preparation, stalking, challenge etc. Now its drive the fourwheeler up to a stand shoot it and yippee all the way there. Hunting shows now needs more class

Tim Farmer does a great job with Ky Afield. I really like the way he covers about every type of hunting and fishing to how to clean and cook it.

Watched a show about how they make those hunting shows.

The fellar, don't remember who, said they edit it, and add the talking and other after the shot was made.

Don't know if it's true, but he showed before and after.

It's weird because I love to hunt and never had a problem shooting anything. I don't even mind seeing my partner take an animal or game bird but I can't stand to watch other people do it on TV.
So I don't watch...although, I watch goose hunting videos. I laugh my butt off watching those early season hunts when the birds are still so gulible.

Like to hunt. Don't particularly enjoy the killing something part. Don't find the tv programs all that interesting. Love to go drag racing. Do not particualyly enjoy watching drag racing.

Get where they want to eat, and they're that gullible all season long.

I love field hunting for geese, just behind diver hunting over 500 blocks on the big water.[;)]

I get tired of all the bow hunting shows.

I want to see someone take a well aimed long shot with a rifle. I'll watch any turkey hunting show. I like seeing a good well trained bird dog work a field, or swim after ducks & geese, and I love seeing some youngster bag is first animal whatever it is.

The shows are heavily edited for content and realism. I went hog hunting in florida last year at a ranch there. The guy who ran it said he had quite a few of your famous tv hunters there hunting before. He said for the most part they drive him nuts and most were stuck up a$$es. He said he had to kiss their butts because the sponsors paid well for the stuck ups to be there.
