38-40
38-55
I shoot the Model 1885 38-40 quite a bit.
17 fireball
218 bee
Merc
The only exception I have to this is that I would love to get a 220 swift, which is becoming much harder to find these days.
expensive when you can find it.
Thanks---Peabo
I dont have anything oddball....from my point of view, there are so many other rounds that will do what other rounds do that are more accessible and cheaper.

+1 I had a 220 swift but sold it to buy a 22-250.
No. 3 Single Action Target in 38-44 Not to be confused with the 1950's revolver called the 38/44 that later was to become the the model 27 . Locust Fork was instrumental in finding and working with another fine gentleman In getting me a full box each of loaded ammo one each in the only two loading ever produced Both loadings use pointed bullets but loaded BELOW the case mouth . This cartridge was used by IRA PAINE to set the National PISTOL BULLS EYE record in the 1890's Thus why it holds so much interest to me Thanks Again L.F.
EDITI don't shoot these factory Cartridges but hand load 351 Winchester cases to very mild loads shoot hollow base wadcutter 38 special bullets loaded flush with case mouth. The original cases were same length as cylinder great design no jump to the forcing cone of barrel.
well, I don't have it yet, just ordered it [^]
.310 Cadet or .310 Greener
.25-20 Single Shot
8x58R Danish Krag
I reload and shoot them all
Second one a 6mm PPC Rimmed on a Martini Model 15 action. Brass made from Savage 303 brass. This is a carry around, extra light weight hunter.
11mm Murata
9mm Steyr (in a Steyr Hahn)
8mm Nambu
9mm Japanese (I shoot .38 Short Colt in it)
10.6 German Service (but I shoot .44 Russian in the Reichsrevolvers)
8mm German military (.318 dia. in an unmodified Gew 88)
11mm Mauser
The Murata round is probably the most uncommon while everything else is pretty common.
I don't shoot it much.
The ammo is obsolete but I make mine from .348 Win brass. I made a minor conversion to the bolt so it has a center firing pin instead of the two rimfire pins. Pretty simple to do.
#3GTG FOLDED CARTRIDGE #2 GYROJET but most likely #1 is the 1890's S&W

I am so glad I could help. You are always so sweet!!!!
.308 Norma Mag. None available around here , but can find brass from time to time.
The 30-40 is also a bit less-than-common out here on the Prairie. I'm going to have to invest in some 30-cal, 165-grain Sierras soon.
.240 Page Sooper Pooper.....shoot it and hunt with it regularly.
[:o)]
.32 S&W
Hard to find.
300 Blackout...
Got that one, but it's getting more popular.
I really don't have many uncommon calibers, since I want to make sure that I can always either find ammo or components to support my shooting habit. Would 50BMG be considered oddball?
Do I shoot it much? I've never shot even a single round.
Edit to answer the second part of the question: one was made in 1892 and I don't shoot it. The other one was made in 1901, but all physical and visual evidence seems to indicate that the gun was only shot two times, so I don't shoot it either.
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Old colts, do you have any pictures of the 1901 single action?
very cool.
is the ammo even available for the gun?
saw a rifle for $1300 recently but passed because the owner said he couldn't find ammo.

mark,
very cool.

Ammo is hard to find and I don't know of a source.
7.62 x 38mm Nagant
44 Russian
30-40 Krag
yeah, i'm seeing that.
that's the problem with the very old or very odd stuff.
there's only one guy i know of loading the 8mm galois, and once my shells are worn out i won't be able to get any more.
are n't you just dying to shoot that 5.7 just once?[;)]
