Any ideas as to when this saying was 1st used??

I was watching an old Charles Bronson movie, Breakheart Pass, the other night and at one time Ben Johnson, tells Richard Crenna, "lets... * er' done". Circa 1976.

Could it be that Larry the Cable Guy was just collecting material for his future career?

Seen Ben Johnson use that term as far back as 1948 in John Wayne's movie "Rio Grande". He was talking to Harry Carrie Jr...."Get er done, Johnny Reb".[:)][:)]

Larry, I beleive was a call-in guy on a radio station in Baltimore and eventually became a regular and from there went to full time comedy. The whole "giiiit-eeerrrr-dunnnne" is all his, anything else is IMO a coincidence.
