Go here and download Spybot. It is a free ad and spyware remover. Fast and does a good job.

    I like my spyware blocker from earthlink, Watch them load on the tool bar, then hit "Dissable"[:D]

    Im on a school computer in the lab right now as a i type. it was funny i sat down and opened explorer and all this spy where pops up. it even opened the disk drive

    Tried most of 'em and SpyBot is the best I have found.PC mag rated it best free program to find the nasties.

    Spyblaster, runs in the background once installed and prevents spyware from getting to you in the first place.

    Installed SpyStopper about six weeks back; current statistics: 10,600 ads, 557 bugs, 8200 cookies and 14 spyware installations blocked since I bought the registered version. Running the shareware analysis spy detectors (I didn't find any which removed the garbage unless one bought the app), I located hundreds of items on the sys. Some were false alarms; the rest I removed manually. Checked my sys last week and it is free of the crap. Only downside is that sometimes legitimate items are also blocked. But it sure gives me a chuckle to see the icon blinking furiously and have a nice clean screen come up.

    Thanks,I downloaded it and found a lot of spyware. I believe it has help speed up my dial-up connection. This is my favorite forum on the net.

    Watch out for that free spybot. I had nothing but trouble after I installed it. I had it on my PC for a couple of months. I got more spyware and popups than ever. At first it seemed great but got worse with time. I uninstalled it and have not had one problem since. Coincedence? maybe. But I will stick with Norton from now on.

    Where do you find the spyware blocker from Earthlink. I have Earthlink and I cannot find any refference to it. Thanks![:)]
