I am feeling rather strange right now. I just sold my springfield XD40. I needed to sell this gun to finish paying off my new SW99 *(a gun i have lusted after for 4 years!) I've sold guns before, but this one somehow seemed different. It was my first pistol. Has anyone else experience rather luke warm feelings after making a sale?

I still own every gun I've ever had but two. I still kick my self in the * for getting rid of them.

Many years ago I felt about the same thing every time I sold one. That is why for 42 years now I don't sell any of my toys. I have given away two to a very good friend but I know they went to a good home.

I would feel bad too if I sold an XD to buy a SW99.

My first was a POS 25 cal no name pistola. Its long gone. My 2nd handgun was a Ruger P90. Ive probably only shot it 1 time this year but I dont know if I can get rid of it. Despite my knowledge of Ruger and the fact that There are much better guns I may just keep it.

Shame on you[:D]I think we've all sold a good shooter that we regret.
I know I have. I had a spanish 95 in 7x57 that I sported had loads worked up for it and all and had a nice 3-9x30 scope on it. Traded it off for something I wanted real bad. Been kickin myself ever since.

If you ain't got a sense of humor you got no business bein here!

I have only sold 3. One I had too, didnt have the money but bought it anyhow, sold to a friend. One traded for a motorcycle, I was a real good deal and I had 2 of the same gun at the time. The last one was a gun I thought would be kinda cool and wasent what I wanted, traded for an M1 Garand. I have thought about selling a couple of the ones I dont shoot for something I would like more but.............I just cant do it. I buy not sell.

I felt a little like that when I sold my first born daughter
into white slavery. You will get over it shortly.

Well I went home and cleaned the new pistol, and I feel a lot better now. The sw99 is exactly what I've been wanting both ascthetically and accuracy wise. For whatever reason I shoot pistols with trigger safeties (Glocks, XDs etc) very poorly. This is more to my liking. I feel somewhat better now. I am sure I will feel even better when the first parts for my AR15 start arriving [:D] Nothign like more new guns to heal sellers remorse right?
