This is a good idea for giving something that really helps soldiers in the sandbox. You can even put in the name of your choice to direct the contribution.

I read about this in the "American Rifleman", most recent issue. Does anyone else know the skinney on this or if it is as good a thing as they say it is?

    I have not heard about this. If you find out it is real let me know. I think I would contact a young soldier just home from there and get his take on the need. I like bore snakes, but I am not sending any if it is a sales pitch.

    Well, I wouldn't believe it to be a scam, being it comes to us from the NRA. But, you never know. They still haven't sent me my Silver Bullet from the Tom Selleck promotional that I contributed extra for, and that's going on 2 (two) years now![V]

    Assuming it's legit, this is an excellent program. I brought my own snakes with me to the sand box, and people were always asking to borrow them. These were definately a handy and field expedient tool.
