I use the USPS to ship. Handguns can't go via USPS except dealer to dealer.
To ship UPS or FedEx, I have to drive 35 to 50 miles to a customer counter. To ship USPS, I drive, or walk, one mile to the post office.
All that is explained in the item description.
But I think the laws have changed, a ffl can mail a c&r to a C&r holder.

Yep....
Firearms meeting the definition of a handgun under 12.1.1b, and the definition of curios or relics under 27 CFR 478.11 may be mailed between curio and relic collectors only when those firearms also meet the definition of an antique firearm under 12.1.1g.
1) A handgun under 12.1.1b is defined as Firearm frame or receiver is the part of a firearm that provides housing for the hammer, bolt or breech-block, and firing mechanism and that is usually threaded at its forward portion to receive the barrel.
The problem is that no such frame can be a Curio and Relic. Only complete firearms in their original configuration as C&R classified.
2)...may be mailed between curio and relic collectors... .
Can Type 01 Dealers mail C&R handguns to Type 03 C&R FFL holders? What about the reverse? Can a Type 03 C&R holder mail a C&R handgun to a Dealer?
3)...only when those firearms also meet the definition of an antique firearm under 12.1.1g..
What does that mean when applied to Curio and Relics? Antique is defined as:
Antique firearm means any muzzle loading rifle/shot-gun/pistol that is designed to use black powder or a black powder substitute and that cannot use fixed am-munition (except those that incorporate a firearm frame or receiver, any firearm that is converted into a muzzle loading weapon, or any muzzle loading weapon that can be readily converted to fire fixed ammunition by re-placing the barrel, bolt, breechblock, or any combina-tion thereof); or any firearm (including those with a matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system) manufactured on or before 1898, or any replica thereof, if such replica:
1. Is not designed or redesigned for using rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed ammunition.
2. Uses rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed ammunition that is no longer manufactured in the United States and that is not readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade.
I updated the auction description to reflect that, anyway.
I had asked my local Post office General about this when I first heard about the change. He was more confused than before the law change.
His take on the matter is this: A holder of a C&R license IS a licensed receiver. A C&R gun can go to him by mail from any other license holder.
Grain of salt taken here.....He drives a 4x4 truck with a gun rack across the back window.[;)]

I'd say he's one fart smeller smart feller.
I understand. Cute little gun. Hope it does well!
Cute? That thing fugly! I hope it does well too but he was smart not to add it to his personal collection!....[:D]
Does it only fire with that string attached to the trigger?

Yup! So Fugly, it's cute!
I like "interesting curiosities" especially if they are small!
