    I pretty much believe in the paranormal... hauntings, UFOs, Loch Ness Monster... honest politicians...

    But I think sasquatch qualifies... even though that famed film footage of Bigfoot turned out to be a hoax.

    i saw on msnbc a few weeks ago that thry discovered a new species of monkeys in the congo that were over 6ft tall it kinda makes you wonder what is out there?

    Speaking of new apes, have any of y'all ever seen those old pictures some explorers took of some sort of weird-looking ape man in the Amazon? Apparently they had shot and killed it during their expedition and later came under attack by a bunch of other similar-looking critters. These live ones then retrieved the body and fled back into the jungle.

    There's a sasquatch out there somewhere. I always believed it was in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains....Of course that could have been Pabooger on his Califonia vacation! Beach

    Believe in them? Heck, i live across the street from one...seriously tho, yeah, i think its possible that out there somewhere its possible they exist. We havent seen everything there is to see yet, and there is a lot of this planet we havent exploered yet.

    There are some strange things wandering the woods of the Pacific Northwest, but Susquatch ain't one of them. Timberbeast might be.

    He-Dog: How about hair samples that can't be identified? Sound recording from pacific NW of an animal that can't be identified? Footprint casts, examined by orthopedic experts, that can't be proven fakes? Fossil records of gigantopithecus, believed to be where the sasquatch/yetti branched off from the other simians?

    Certainly, no definite evidence of existence, but more than just small town rumor and that crappy film. I think it would be neat if they're out there. Plenty of unexplored land to check out.....

    I believe I have seen the picture you are talking about.It showed a thin tall apelike thing with a couple bullet holes in the chest and stomach.In the picture it was setting on some square fuel cans with a stick jammmed under it's chin to prop it up.

    I had always wondered were I saw that pic,and I remember the same story for it as mentioned by you was printed as a caption under the photo.

    If anyone knows were to see that pic,book on line ect.. let me know. CW

    Familyguy, I would like to see hair that cannot be identified by a good DNA lab. Often the "experts" on these thing turn out to be the "college of the paranormal in Taos" or some such. Orthopedic experts? How about forensic anthropologists or even paleoanthropologists. Sometimes the experts are part of the plot so to speak. There is a lot of wild back country up that way, but not enough to hide a viable population of a 7 foot anthropoid for three centuries beyond settlement. There ain't no Yeti, or Mokele Membe either. Nessie was a hoax, so are crop circles. I think the real world is quite amazing, mysterious and magic, with out creating missing links or the paranormal, but that is just me. Absolutely no offence intended.

    All are bogus. The entire nation now travels around with a compact video camera or digital camera so where are all of the RECENT photographs of these critters? Why are we still seeing the same grainy 8mm film from decades ago? If the things were really out there we'd have some superb photographic evidence by now and computer enhancement could clear up nearly every question. Wait, I guesss this is why we are NOT getting any new photos or films!

    I guess that I would have to say that I do not believe that there is ALWAYS a logical explanation to everthing...(Easy on me F.S...)While I do not believe the myth as such ,any myth that seems to keep rising hither,thither and yon makes me wonder what got em started in the first place.Early mans fears of the inexplainable?Maybe a few early man types had a sense of humor?Perhaps it was a way of keeping other s from anothers favorite hunting grounds.And the it just so happened that a bunch of different folks on different continents thought up the same kinda of being....I would accept the science,forensic,etc.as proof...so...PROVE that it DOES NOT exist if it truely doesn't. Maybe it isn't as much fun to peove beyond a doubt that they are bogus....hmmm,ok time for a drink...

    Hey, if there is no Sasquatch, Yeti, etc mentioned in the BIBLE then they do NOT EXIST. End of story.

    However, I have on several occasions seen the elusive and rare jackalope. I have a friend who bagged one years ago, had it mounted and it hangs on the wall of his den.
