Kellie Pickler did a good job on the National Anthem.
Nice body but her face reminds me to much of ex-SIL.

Would love my son
to see what "STOCK CAR" racing really was.
Take him to the weekly show at your local short track (1/4-1/2 mile "bullring"), either dirt or paved.
Our local track hasn't had races in so long[:(] It keeps changing hands and each new owner
says they will start races in a few weeks, but it never happens.
All they ran there in the past were modifieds and enduro races.
The one track up in MN. I used to go to, on Friday nights ran the "American 4s".
That was funny seeing mostly Pinto's and Vega's. They also ran "Modified 4s".
They would pack the stands.
That's a shame, about the track owners.
Local track runs 4 of their 6 classes each night, from 4cyl to limited late models, plus some "special" guest classes during the season.
I love a good Australian Pursuit race [:D]
Now, if you want to bring the interest back to Nascar, do a post qualifying invert (draw for # of places inverted), run a AP for pit stall position, and after the first caution in the last 20% of the race switch to enduro rules (for those that don't know Enduro rules, there are only 3 flags used, green, checker and red. Red is only thrown if a car is drivers door to the track, upside down or on fire. [}:)]

Supposedly they will be running races next month. I will believe it when I hear it.
It only cost like $5 for admission.
