Thats how many 12 hr. days I've worked in a row being on my 90 day probation at Ford.[xx(] I have 31 to go and probation is over. They work you 90 straight 12's to see if you can hack it. I have'nt shot, hunted or fished in 2 mos., I'm having withdrawl![:o)] Has anybody had to do a similar probation at a place they work, or is Ford the only place that does this?

Never heard of such a thing.
Guess it would make for a good paycheck though. [;)]

Many manufacturing companies do this to indeed see what you are made of.It does not last forever. After probation is over it usually settles back to routine work. Good luck with the job and your future hunting and fishing adventures.

I know some people that work at the Claycomo plant in K.C.. They say that most of the time the only day you have off in your first year is Christmas and maybe New Years but it slows down some after you get the first year in.

Wow......I'll take some of that overtime!

Being my "own boss" I frequently (read: every week) work 50-60 hours. No overtime for me! [B)]

I love it though......can't really complain.

Got a buddy at Sherwin Williams. His probation lasts 6 months, but he works normal time at half pay (I think it's half). After that, he gets a real decent paycheck

One company I worked for, we were so busy that we worked 10-16 hour days for 18 months.
Only had 20 days off in those 18 months.
Was great because afterwords I took a month vacation and had $3000 in my pocket to spend that month on [:D]
