h&k usp .40 .vs SW99

I have the chance to get either one at a good price, anyone have an opinion on which to buy? They both feel good to me.

My personal opionion is that the HK is a higher quality gun. Probably hold value better in the long run also.

Since both fit you well, go with the one whose looks you like better. The SW99 is just the Walther P99 manufactured by Smith and Wesson, so its reliability compared to the USP shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, getting both is a little beyond me. If that was a choice Id opt for choice 3, a feinwerkbau P34 [:D]

I agree the HK,the model 99 seems to have been hyped up to much.Ive shot a few and the accuracy was less than desirable.But the gun did not feel good in my hand and the two Ive shot had different grips.The third grip may be the one for me?But for some reason I dont think my opinion will change!

I own an H&K 40 USP and I have shot a friends 99. I like the H&K better. They both are good pistols, but I can't get use to the trigger on the 99.

I have not shot either but have had the oportunity to handle both. To me, based on the feel of the two, the HK seems like the one I'd choose. While I do like the looks of the S+W, the grip feels slick, as does the Walther. Id take the HK if cost isn't an issue. I almost bought an HK USP compact in 357 sig from a guy who had one for auction here on GB for $500 + shipping but decided to get a Glock from my local dealer instead.
