Jackel the movie

I watched this a few weeks ago and I though it was pretty good. Execpt when anti gun Gere was acting like he was a gun expert. He had his finger on the trigger all the time. And that fake accent!

When Bruce Willis(The Jackel) was about to assassinate Hillery Clinton(she was the first lady at the time) why didnt he just pull the trigger? He just had to zoom in right between her eyes which took about a minute. He had a 20mm machine gun, a hit just about anywhere would have killed her. Some movies just dont make since. And Charlies Angels II, how fake can you get??

Most people are ignorant about the how's and why's of life. Hollywood can do anything for drama and nobodys the wiser (except knowledgeable people)

Ya i know most movies are completely fake. But a serious one like that should be made better. In most cartoons, the bad guy always tell the hero his plan right before the hero is about to die, then the hero escapes somehow. Or the villian is about to kill the hero, but he delays and delays, and something stops him. Its the same everytime.

You gotta watch austin powers International Man of Mystery. he addresses that in the movie very well.

So many movies try to be accurate in a certain feild but neglect others. It doesn't upset my wife until I bring it to her attention. Like the chambering of a round everytime they meet someone, 13 shots from a 6 shooter, the metal sound of a blade going thru a body, the sparks of copper bullets hitting against a wooden house, the screech of tires in the heavy rain, tracer bullets in the 1800's movie,a gattlen gun putting out 1000 rounds a second, a sheetrock wall stopping a .45 bullet, a 12 ga. shotgun hit making a man fly thru the air 30 feet, hundreds of rounds are shot at the man on a horse but the horse is never hit, on and on and on. Movies stink with stupidity and the people who don't know the difference really think it's real. Out of touch with reality is the problem with todays people and that makes it harder for us to keep our guns and other rights.
Ever see a mack 10 shoot 100 rounds? Watch it live on "TV"!

I want one of those pistols that takes the hood off of a car with only one shot.

You must remember, that a movie is for entertainment and the facts and reality do not exist in all of them, as some of us would like.

But facts and reality dont sell them, its box office numbers $$$ that do.

I HATE it when everytime they show a guy with a gun he has to rack the slide to make that scary noise. And I HATE it when i guy gets shot and he does a double backflip 30 feet through the air. And i hate it when C-4 gets shot with gun and it explodes(Rush Hour)! It needs a blasting cap to explode period!!!!!!!!!!

And no matter how many times the perp racks the slide to scare the hostages -- a round never pops out of the ejection port. Then you have Bruce Willis in Die Hard II describing the bad guys' guns as "Glock Sevens." The ceramic type that doesn't show up on airport x-rays. You know the ones....

As for the Jackal, the first version, Day of the Jackal, is a FAR FAR better movie all around. Try it sometime.

hahaha ya the magic Glock 7, and they cost "what you make in a month."

And i hate it when "Navy SEAL", "FBI", etc, break every gun rule, finger on trigger etc. I hate it when they fire from the hip and hit everything they were aiming for. I hate it when one gun shot to a car make it bust into flames and fly 60 feet in the air. I hate it when "FBI", "Army Ranger" flinch everytime they shoot their gun, theyre supposed to be highly trained!! I hate it when one grenade turns an entire two story house into a buring inferno. I hate it when a grenade expoldes like its molotov cocktail. I hate it when a double barrel shotgun can hold 20 rounds. And I hate it when you look through a gun scope you see all this mumbo jumbo calculations.

hum, ill try and see if I can find "Day of the Jackal" ive never heard of it.

I hate all the above crap too. Movies are supposed to be for entertainment purposes only, but somewhere along the lines they became real. It ruins movies for me when I see all the stupid gun errors that they have. I sit there and point them out in disgust. So many people believe what they see in movies its pathetic. [:(!]

Okay, if you want accurate, get RED DAWN or any John Milinaus (spelling probably screwed) Movie with Tom Beringer in it (Roosevelt). This guy is a gun guy and ALWAYS gets it right.

Where'd you leave the wayback machine, Mr. Peabody?

I like the one shot when a guy shoots a round into a moving car and it blows up like someone put 10 sticks of dynamite in it.

Yeah! get me a gun like that! On second thought, I'll just watch the movie instead.

Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun has!
