Advice on shipping ammo

What is the best and safest (no damage) way to ship this stuff? USPS?? Am I required to do anything special? 1000 rounds. What type of packaging do I use? Any advice would be great.

    USPS NO (unless you like risking some time in Club Fed, and some hefty fines)

    UPS or Fed-Ex GROUND, ORM-D "Small arms cartridges" label, 66 pound limit.
    Must be picked up at you home or place of busness, or dropped off a terminal hub (not a "we-ship-it" storefront).
