Can illegal aliens be benificial?

I just came off a freeway yesterday and while waiting for the light to turn green I saw a few mexican fellas jump out of their truck and give the man holding the 'HOMELESS-PLEASE HELP-GOD BLESS" sign on the side of the road a roll of bills.
Can the illegals benifit our society in good ways like this and still be bad?

The greatest benefit they can be to our society is to build a wall on the border to mexico and maybe get into a war with our lazy Black population.

if 1/3 of them were not on welfare, maybe
They are not really working for $5 for day labor. you are paying their hospital, welfare, police etc so we can hire artifically low priced labor

Maybe if you ned a task done that would take a few hard workers.

And how do you know they were illegal? I rode in the back of a truck over the weekend as well.

Sorry Dave. Sometimes My sarcasm doesn't come through very well. I meant this topic as a sarcastic reminder of people in our society, who by choice, are homeless and beg for a living.

They very well may have been here legally and just so you know, I have worked along side illegal mexicans and illegal russians, and illegal peruvians. All were working hard to earn a living,
and interesting people with stories about their homelands right from the horses mouth.

Not all of these people are homeless. There's one that works a large section of our nearest interstate, dresses like a bum, and for all intents and purposes does LOOK homeless.
I know someone who knows more of him and says he lives rather well, nice home, cars, etc. Go figure.

There's a chef in the article I posted about eating Bichon Frise dogs that allegedly finds them tasty. [:0]

Sure illegals can be beneficial. Suppose you're moving from one house to another in the same town and you need some help loading up a U-Haul.

Where else are you going to go to for cheap, instantly on-demand labor?

Where I live you roll to the local 7-11 or Home Depot, offer $10/hour cash, maybe throw in lunch, and you're in business.

    What's the alternative?

These days, it seems it's hard to find kids willing to do the work. When was the last time y'all saw a kid going door to door offering to mow lawns?

Last week one of the kids in my neighorhood asked to mow my lawn. So kids still are willing to work , enough said about are kids? Why would anyone want to build bigger and better slums?People from all over the world come here to have a better life then they could have in thier own country. The legal aliens work just as hard as the illegal ones do, they just ask for more money and benifits.Whats so hard about paying a liveable wage to a hard worker?Picking cotton got a bunch of people to leave the farm, some to schools of higher learning , some to trade schools, but they could all raise a family on thier wages. But that was before are government steped in an scewed things up.If we would of kept up are taxes for imports like all the other countrys still do we would stilll be ahead of the game. My guess is greed. Some people are just to dang greedy.

If YOU don't mind bringing your own 'wad of bills' to the table each and every
April 14th, each and every year for 20 million - and then another 100,000,000+
    illiterates ... not a problem.

IF YOU don't mind watching your hospitals going bankrupt near you ... not a problem.

IF you don't mind dealing with auto accidents with folks who have never bought insurance in their foreign born lives ... not a problem.

If you don't mind watching your kid's/grand kid's education taking a nose dive ... no problem.

If you don't mind exposing yourself/loved ones to newer and better forms of TB. polio, mumps and other exotic diseases that we barely have names for ... not a problem.

If you like LOTS more traffic and having your state road $$$ diverted to state welfare
programs for illegal families ... not a problem. Like thousands of potholes that are
not fixed? Los Angeles can't fix them all now - even if they wanted - it's impossible to
even halfway catch up ... know why? Because their city road repair crews have been cut drastically over the last 20 years ... guess why. State funds needed for illegal welfare programs. ... no problem, eh?

If you are an absolute moron ... not a problem.

We, in the Southwest, have been experiencing all of the above for decades ... and we
    find it a problem.

I could actually go on ... but I'm tired and have got to get out early tomorrow.

YOU want to support another 80 to 100,000,000 illiterate Mexican rural folk.

    ... not a problem, eh?

Not one has knocked on my door.
I asked one a few years ago about mowing my yard (Using my mower, etc.). His reply "My mother wont let me, she says it is too dangerous."
I asked another one last year, what would he charge to rake my yard.
He said $25. Okay, I furnished the leaf bags, and 3 rakes for him to use. I figured he would rope his little brother into helping. We had to leave, came back that evening, checked the yard, leaves still everywhere, rakes/bags missing and one bag 3/4 full of leaves.
He came over the next day and said he was finished. Went out and looked, same as the previous evening. Told him to bring the rakes/bags back. He got $10 and a lecture. He didn't even mention finishing the job. He wont speak to me now.

No one said they were "bad" or evil, just that they were illegal and breaking laws. Some of them are fine human beings, they just need to do things right and follow the law.

I keep threating swmbo that I'm going to make a sign and set up at the mall parking lot! [}:)]
Been watching a local guy for a couple of years now, He drives to the parking lot in a late model Camero that he parks in the middle of the lot! And is also said to own a nice home!
A guy I grew up with who's spent a bit of time "on the road" told me that it's an occupation that has the potential to bring in better than 100 grand a year in tax free dollars if you get a good spot. I don't know if that's true or not but I do know some of them will fight you if you offer them actual work!

I watched a minivan pick up this homeless bum with a sign and decicided to follow it. Well it turns out he went to 4 other intersections picking up bums before I lost him in traffic.
    Sounds like a scam..

    They pick the Strawberries

"only" 15 years ago, I and other white kids picked strawberries next to them. It was great because we could make almost a hundred bucks in three weeks, and that would last us all summer long.

I told my dad it wasn't politically correct to call them illegal aliens anymore. He suggested "moving targets."

    blah, blah, blah, blah, blah....

Yep, there are good ones, bad ones, nice ones, mean ones, fat ones, skinny ones, and on down the line. Seems they don't have much in common with each other at all, oh accept maybe just one thing -

NONE OF THEM PAY ANY TAXES!

    ZipperZap said it best.

I say kick them ALL out.

Chances are that the bums do pay some taxes. Especially the ones that own nice homes and cars, etc. They have to pay property taxes, buy licese, ins., etc., whereas the illegals don't. [:(!]
