Well there is Front Page News again today of another Small Town Sting Operation by our LEO's in this county. Both within 3o Miles of here where they apprehended two separate individuals for Internet Communications with supposedly Teen Age Girls. Both these men were 45 Yrs. or older. Both of these were within the last 3 weeks.

One came from Kentucky and the other from Indiana. Both traveled a few hundred miles only to be intercepted by Police in wait for them at the place of meeting.

Sure is good to know the Police are working at catching these Ba$$t@rds.

Both of these Towns are not much bigger than Mayberry, but their police are doing a very good service.

You people with Children should monitor closely what your Children are doing on the WEB.

I have a Question also; Why is it they can use a Sting for some cases but sometimes you see where a Defendent was found Not Guilty because he was caught by a means of what they call Entrapment?

Good to hear, theres some sick SOB's out there these days. Seems like the law enforcement officials are cracking down hard on these types of offenders more and more. Watched a special on the TV a little while back that discussed this topic. I recall them saying how every year the number of internet sex offenders is increasing steadily, and along with it the numbers of children who are becoming involved with them. Pretty scary stuff....

Just a few months ago a guy around here got arrested for incest with minors and contecting young children over the interent to be in his homemade pornographic videos. Guess the guy was well like in his community and woudnt have been suspected at all if his daughter hadnt admitted to having sex with him..... talk about disgusting.

The embarrassing thing about these stings is the number of offenders they turn up who ARE in law enforcement or public education.

How right you are. As far as I am concerned, when it comes to children, no MAN or WOMAN is beyond reproach; your all suspect [:0].

As unfortunate as it may seem, I fear approaching the security and well-being of your children in any less of a security concious manner would be slightful of your children.

The tough part for me is where is the "line" in the sand, which you can not cross; on one side- security, on the other paranoia? None of us want to make our kids so fearful of others that they are unable to interact with folks, but it sure is tough given the sensationalism of some of these abductions as of late.

    NSDQ!
