Just what is the purpose of that drill? Yes it takes skill to all fire at the same time, but seeing as most closer order drill has it's roots in actual military maneuvers, I'm not seeing the point.

Back in the 90's when I was roaming around the Balkan's, the Russian Spetsnaz would regularly host a capabilities demonstration on their base camp up at Zvornik.

It was akin to the "Wild West" whenever we bumped into those fella's out on the ground. You would not believe the "stuff" they got into. [:0]
