I'm looking to buy a handgun. I was searching on some websites and I found a Taurus PT92 in 9mm; that is what I am looking to buy. Now this is where I need some info if anybody can spare it. The price was good, the gun looks awesome, but I am not sure about the seller's reputation. The website was for a shop called Gilbert's Guns. I would appreciate it if anybody could tell me whether or not they are a reputable place to buy from. Thanks again!

Was it here on GB? If so, post the auction, then we might be able to help a little more. .02$

No. I would be buying it through the web site www.gilbertsguns.com and I am trying to find anybody who has bought from there and can tell me as much info about that company as they know. I am trying to find out if it is a reputable company. I do not want to order a gun and give them my credit card number, and then not receive the gun. I need to know that I would be dealing with a company that has a good reputation and will not intentionally rip me off.

First I know nothing about gilberts guns but be carefull. If you can't see and hold the item you leave yourself open to anything. I have had a few bad times on buying thing over the net or mailorder but I Hope this comes out ok.

Here's one way to check this seller out. Surely he lists his city of operation on his website...so...invest in a long distance call to the local Better Business Bureau and ask them if he is credible, viable, and if any complaints have been registered against him/his business. You didn't say in your post where he is located, so you might post that in a follow up post, here. Surely there is someone on here that knows something about this guy.

We have quite a few folks in here from that area, so you might also post a new topic asking for some folks from Kentucky, and specifically the city.

There is also a thread running on here "What state are you from" or something similar....click through it and see who is from Kentucky and then email them through the forum by clicking on their screen name.
