Trijicon Compact ACOG

I'm thinking about getting a Trijicon Compact ACOG for my ar, but I'm a little torn about what magnification I want to get. My options are 1.5x16, 1.5x24, 2x20, and 3x24. I want something good for CQB/home defense, and for medium range. Any advice?

jimmy: the acog is an excellent scope. may i suggest trying a sightron red dot/11 intensity settings/4 sight choices/price around 229.00 including rings and sunshade and best of all a one year guarantee. i have one on my bushmaster and it is exceptional.
if you are stuck on the acog, by all means buy it. personally i think they are a little overpriced. are you looking for night vision? did you know that acog does not offer a one year guarantee?
i have looked through just about all of the major maufacturers ar scopes and sightron offers alot of bang for your buck. aimpoint is also another fine alternative. just my 2 cents[;)]

My friend has a 1.5x24. It's good up close/CQB, but not much magnification at 100yds. Still very able to make quick headshots (his targets) at 100yds, but I'm not sure what kinda group it shoots. He has it mounted on a Bushmaster[xx(]. I've been contemplating the 4X ACOG or the 3.4X Elcan. But I think that may be a bit much for CQB unless I use the night sight mounted on a TA01NSN, but everyone who says they have one wishes they had a TA31(BAC). This is why I don't have a scope yet[B)]. GL!
