Virginia couple arrested for asking directions:

http://www.thewbalchannel.com/news/9229472/detail.html

Baltimore Police arrested them for "tresspassing on a PUBLIC street." The young married couple from Virginia had just attended an Orioles game at Camden Yards when THEY approaced officers to ask for directions after getting lost leaving the city. They spent 8 hours in jail and then were released WITHOUT charges. The police towed their car and left it unlocked with the windows down in the impound yard, several items from inside the car were stolen during their false imprisonment.

How long before we start hearing "Papers please?" Didn't these people take an oath to uphold the Constitution?

Since they acted like nazis, I sincerely hope these "officers" meet the same fate as Joachim Peiper after the war [;)]

what? a policeperson forgot about 'serving' the public? the more people you make police, the less public you have, which means, more idiots are police.

I cannot imagine an explination in the part of the police officer that would justify her actions since there were no charges filed.
Even if the officer felt that she was justified by her actions at the very least she is an idiot.

I think the taxpayers in Baltimore will get to foot the bill for a nice lawsuit or a hefty settlement.
