US Code Title 42 Section 1382:

(f) Individuals outside United States; determination of status

(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of this subchapter, no individual (other than a child described in section 1382c (a)(1)(B)(ii) of this title) shall be considered an eligible individual for purposes of this subchapter for any month during all of which such individual is outside the United States

So why are Mexicans going to be receiving Social Security in Mexico you ask?

http://www.ssa.gov/pressoffice/factsheets/USandMexico.htm

It's on the President's desk.

""Pushed by the Mexican government, the Bush administration is working on a Social Security accord that would put tens of thousands of Mexicans onto the Social Security roster and send hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits south of the border.""

Tens of thousands of Mexicans? There are over 10 million here by conservative estimates!!!!

Over 700 billion dollars are paid into ss yearly by illegals with bogus ss numbers.

In New Mexico, illegals pay about 1.5 million more in taxes that it costs to educate the children of illegals.

I just thought these were interesting, I have no idea what to do with them or how it works in other states.

LOL ... smartest thing I've read all morning. [:D][:D][:D]

Do you know how many are in your state - American sex offenders
    not the border jumpers!

    As of 2005

Since they are worse than lepers I suggest a volcanic island - complete
with a fairly active volcano, to house them on,
    and be done with them![:D]

I wonder how the numbers would pan out if you included the cost for, health care, criminal impact and claims for un-insured motorist.

Maybe that's why many politicians are against curbing illegal aliens. I believe that SS withholdings now go into the "General" fund and they would loose the money for their pet projects!

$700 Billion paid into SS by illegals with bogus SS numbers?

How did 10 million illegals pay $700 Billion? Do the math.

That's $70,000 being paid into Social Security by each and every illegal alien.

    Riiiiiight.

He Dog, How can illegals in New Mexico pay taxes to educate their kids in schools?

Property taxes pay schools...how many illegals pay property taxes?

I know 2 white people that are scamming Social Security.

This lady used to work there and learned the system. She got fat and got diabetes and got onto Social Security Disability. Her boyfriend gets $12 an hour 8 hours a day to be her caregiver.

Her son drove tractor trailer until he got so big he won't fit behind the wheel anymore...Yep Social Security Disability for diabetes he gave himself pounding Creme Puffs and slamming soda's on the road.

He drives a new truck, has another truck that's his show truck. He has quads and a nice house. Doesn't have to work.

I'm not desperate enough to knock 30 years off my life to pull their sugar scam..But America is fat for a reason. It pays and pays well..for now.

A surprising number it seems. They also pay sales and income taxes as well.

Ahhh He Dog did you read the Albequerque Tribune also?

    http://www.abqtrib.com/albq/nw_local/article/0,2564,ALBQ_19858_4728998,00.html

Their computation on money to the State from illegal immigrants...yes pays for illegal immigrant school kids. BUT they quote in their reports that everything is an estimate.

They fail to mention that 22% of all drop outs are illegals. They fail to count all the costs for illegal immigrants to the State such as healthcare, police action, imprisonment, court costs, theft, insurance fraud, housing, feeding their kids, etc. etc.

Did you know New Mexico spends 4 times the estimated money the State gets from illegal immigrants to incarcerate the illegal immigrants it has?

Is that why New Mexico has been playing with Privatized prisons? Can't afford to keep people in jail?

Sounds like a great place to be an illegal immigrant.

I can't talk. I dated an illegal immigrant going to college at Alamagordo years ago. She came with nothing on her back and got free college from you people. Atleast I got a free ride from her.[:D]

Identity problems. He will wake-up to the fact that his ancestors marrying first cousins wasn't such a great idea after-all.

The entire revenue total for Soc. Sec. is only a little over $700 billion per year, depending on how you count a couple of retirement accounts. The total for the entire category is less than $800 billion, including the other retirement accounts. That's from all sources that pay in if I'm not mistaken.

And if you read the rest of the website, you'll see that:
    a) This isn't something rare; we have similar agreements with lots of other countries with similar social security systems.
    b) This is actually a good, fair idea that keeps those whose careers span more than one country from getting screwed.

I'm currently dealing with this issue for a family member who is coming up on retirement age and is researching whether to collect under a foreign government's retirement system (not Mexico) or the US social security system.

This has nothing to do with illegals scamming the system with bogus social security cards. It has to do with work credits from different countries being cumulatively counted toward the minimum work requirement for collecting under a single social security system instead of trying to collect from two (or more) different social security systems or being totally screwed out of getting social security under any country's system because you don't have enough work credits under any single country's system.

Geez, throw the word "Mexican" on this board and everyone goes into a little xenophobic tizzy.
