    I was not around yet.[8D]

From what I have studied about him, I do not have a favorable opinion of him. Being FDR hand picked successor is not a good sign, nor was his firing of MacArtur. World affairs did not seem to be his strong point.

Each one had strong points and weak points; so any ranking is only a reflection of what your values are and how your perception of the various presidents. For example- I could say Truman was good because he was strong willed, or I could say he was poor because his and FDRs decisions regarding China and Vietnam led directly to the victory of Mao and the alienation of Ho. so it could be worded- rather than ranking the presidents, ranking your values.

Clinton and Carter HAVE to be at the bottom. Nixon needs to be in the top 1/3.

Come on guys they are nothing but pitchmen for the same interests so they all must be rated equal. Bush2 bloopers would fill a book the size of a Websters Collegiate, Slick Willie had the bad judgement to do the Lewinsky thing (among many others), Ronny Rayguns didn't know where he was during his second term, and people think these bozos call the shots.
    A couple of great quotes

"What this country needs is a two party system" Pat Buchanon

"There's not a dimes worth of difference between 'em (

I'm surprised that Kennedy rates so highly among this group. He was a far worse womanizer than Clinton, addicted to drugs, almost got us into nuclear war, blundered in Southeast Asia, and, probably owed all of his political success to his father's illegal connections.

I'm not sure what it means in the larger scheme of things, but I find it very interesting that on the popularity list, the current president is simulutaneously the MOST and LEAST popular president!

Best....Ronald Regan he was a leader of leaders.

worst; Johnson; he killed more Americans than any other egocentric jerk ever could. He also started welfare, the largest transfer of wealth in history.

None since Nixon can be judged yet. Their legacies are still playing out.

Carter is probably the best man on there, but definitely one of the worst presidents on the list.
