Some of you may know that I got my nickname of "Spider" when I was a professional drummer many years ago (see the pic below). It's been more years than I care to remember since I've had a drum kit but I've always missed it. I stopped into a music store a few weeks ago and tried out a Yamaha "DTXplorer" electronic set and I was hooked! It has 32 types of preprogrammed drum kits plus 21 more kits I can customize. I plug my CD player directly into it and play in complete silence to everyone but myself with the headset. Naturally, I also bought the amplifier system when I feel like shaking a few windows. I've been having a blast with "The Brian Setzer Orchestra" (formerly with "The Stray Cats"). I love drumming to jazz and "big bands" because I was always a big Gene Krupa fan!
This is the package I bought. Does anyone else have an electronic kit? I'm so happy I feel like the real "Spider" again!!! [:D]
The original (and much younger) "Spider"

I see you can play with headphones on and not bother anyone. How does that feel?
How much?
That's bad *.

It's great with the headset. You can also play with the headset AND the amps so you can hear the music better. I paid $1,039 for the entire package including shipping. Purchased separately, the set alone retails for $1,249 plus shipping plus all of the other stuff I got. Everything showing in the picture was included!
The smaller speakers mount right on the kit and come with their own mounting brackets.
