Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus gone forever! R.I.P. Another sign that America is not the country it once was.

The final show on Sunday evening was a sell-out and a worldwide audience can watch the event via a live stream on the Ringling website.

My dad used to take us to their circus when I was a kid. Good memories. It's sad to see it go.

I am glad I got to see them. I have been 2 times 1968 and 1975.

Good. My wife dragged me out with the kids to the circus a couple times. It was miserably hot and smelled like hell under that tent. And they basically held their audience hostage to sell their circus crap at one point. Its an antique form of entertainment I hope it dies and goes away.

I had a great time going as a kid and really enjoyed taking my kids and their friends. I think it totally sucks that I will not have the chance to take my Grandkids.

I fondly remember working as a candy butcher at the circus for several days over fifty years ago. As best I recall I averaged around thirty-five dollars a day which was really good money back then. I also developed a life-long hatred for Cracker Jacks. Damn things took forever to sell. Peanuts, pop corn, hot dogs, cokes sold as fast as you could pass them out but every so often they would stick you with Cracker Jacks.

Can't you edit a post anymore? I just recalled it was over sixty years ago not fifty. It seems several things have changed & not for the better.

Not sure green font is proper.

They constantly have to battle lawsuits, verbal and physical abuse by DEMOCRAT party front groups. DEMOCRATs have also used the power of government to "Regulate" and "Restrict" their activity.

Little do the partisan protagonists know, they raise their animals from infancy and they are treated well. Just another piece of our heritage DEMOCRATs have been successful in destroying..

The Big Top Circus is different than Barnum and Baileys Circus.

There once was a circus, the Ringling B's
Bedeviled by animal whackos with pleas.
    It delighted young and old
For one forty six years all told
Until with a sob it was brought to its knees.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

A lot of men were forced to go to the circus with their families years ago and then when they started having half naked show girls hanging from the roof on ropes they didn't have to be forced to go any more. I know I enjoyed it a lot more when they did that. What animals I didn't see any animals. [:D]

I had to laugh at the "fake" news guy this morning who was saying "It's quite an accomplishment to build a business that lasts 150 years. You don't see many businesses make it that far anymore..."

And I was like "Yeah, even Barnum couldn't".[:I]
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
