    It used to be my favorite sport. I just gave up when the North Stars moved to Dallas. Sure, the "WILD" sell out every game but it's not the same. Minnesota went too long without their own team. I mean really. What the heck is wrong with the sport of hockey when the stinkin' state of Minnesota can be without a professional team for almost 10 years? Minnesota without a professional hockey team? That's like Mike Tyson going without a rape or assault charge for more than a few months. It just don't make sense.

    I used to get free Devils tickets. It made me a fan because it's one of the best sports I've seen in person, but I still don't like watching it on TV. How 'bout those Steelers[:0]

    Thrashers fan here. I had been saying that they needed a coach for at least two years before Hartley was signed. In the end they got who they needed and sometimes you just have to hobble along until the best person to help the team becomes available.

    It was an amazing transformation after Hartley took over.

    Patrick Stefan [Thrasher franchise first pick] was in the paper for going on a guided feral hog hunt. The writer {obviously a stick and ball guy} could not resist a jab at Stefan for killing the animal. Something like - Stefan said " due to the danger I would not do it again" and the writer closed with " neither will the hog". In GA feral hogs are just like big rats. Nothing positive results from their being present.

    Grew up playing, love the game. But until the NHL does something to get more scoring in the game, I can't watch. Boring! Can't sit for 3+ hours for a 0-0 or 1-0 ect. game. Scoring like soccer.[;)]

    well mag... i agree after "DANNY HEATLEY" became a thrasher HEATLY as Aposed to Hartly. And yes the press will do pretty much anything to get a Juicy story about a sportsman.

    Well bsally, that just takes away the Difference between Hockey and soccer. if you think about thier similarities, thier almost the same.think about what you need in soccer and what you need in hockey( i'll explain that another time) But the National Hockey leauge can't PROVIDE MORE SCORING, that deafeats the hole point of hockey. if you want more points being scored like you said (with all due respect) watch soccer instead.[:)]

    Well ya see, it's like this...... Heatley is a player and Hartley is the coach. Got fired from the Avs where he won a Cup.

    Brodeurboy, I thought you were a hockey fan???? Are you another GB "Expert"? We get them around here. The last one couldn't spell any better than you. Are you him?? He was a "gun expert".

    Of course the Thrashers hardly ever get on ESPN so if you are an actual hockey fan then you have never seen them and have an excuse.

    I know what you mean about the typing !!:-)

    I get to watch the Devils a lot because they are on ESPN so much. I like Martin but the rest are a bunch of dirty playing goons. Sorry, just my opinion. I would rather see 'wheeling and dealing' instead of the 'punch to the back of the head'. You can't argue with their success.

    After this last Stanley Cup I told my wife that Kariya's stock would really go down hill and sure enough he got traded off. He needs to develop a really good hip-check. Maybe he could get Darius Kaspiritus to show him how it is done. Until he adds some physical dimension to his game he will never be well rounded.

    Yea mag i get wut you mean about kariya but you can't compare him to darius kaspiritus ,for one... they play two completly different roles and positions. the only reason kariya got sacked is because he's the captain and that mickey mouse organization needed a winning team i don't think it was right that they did that to him. He's been one of the best players in the nhl for so many years ( he's got the stats to prove it)and they should not have put all of the losing pressure on him.And Kariya has always been rounded... it's not his fault that he's not like peter worrel who weighs 250lbs and is 6'5 1/2! but he holds his own out there just look at Brian Gionta! he's only 5'7! 138 Lbs! he takes on guys like fredrik modin, jason arrnott, i've seen him. so size is NOT a big factor in the nhl, your as big as you feel! AND ask ANY Player in the nhl and you'll get the same answer. [^][:)]
