A very good friend of ours has lost her home thanks to all the rain here....I dont know how many of you know about the flooding that has been going on in the area but it is bad.....
A lot of the insurance companies are not paying saying they do not pay out for an "act of God"...
This g/f didnt live in a flood area so didnt feel the need for flood insurance...and considering she has lived in the state of Florida for over 20 years and this is the first time a flood had hit her home...and yes the home is beyond repair...there is approx 8 inches of water all over the floor all the way thru the house...
She is staying with a sister ...so please keep her in your prayers... pray for anyone else in the same situation and also that the flooding stops...its a downpour every day..the ground is saturated and the water has no where to go...
You can't see me, my eyes are closed..

rip out the drywall,..and let it sit. Re-wire and re-insulate and she should be able to regain the home as long as moisture is dryed out completely and is not an ongoing thing for a long time confined within the closed walls. Costs a bit,...but not as much as a new house. Salimander heaters run for a few days will help speed this up,..but they must be watched for obvious reasons.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

AN ARMED SOCIETY IS A POLITE SOCIETY
A definate character builder! Just tell her to roll up her sleeves & get with it.
She DOES have my sympathies, though.

If the home wasn't washed away, then it can be recovered. It's a dirty, nasty, expensive job. It's heartbreaking, it stinks, and it's probably not good for one's general health. But it's something that needs done.
Insurance? Don't you know that with few exceptions insurance companies should drop "INSURANCE" from their name and call themselves "POLICY" companies. After all, they sell policies, not insurance.
I've been there. I know.
