How many pink rifles and handguns do you sell. I just ordered a couple pink AR15's and was wondering if they will sell or turn in to permanant decorations around here[:D]

The pink pistols sell. I thought I would give the rifle a try. I have sold a few pink crickets in the past.

They are HARD sellers and always have been. Its fun to have some kind of pink gun in the store just as a novelty....but its easy to pull a picture of one off the computer or out of a magazine and display the pic next to the black gun just to show you can get it in pink if someone wants one. The pink crickets were popular ONLY at Christmas, but all the other guns that I can remember being pink I only sold them when they first became available and even then I only sold one.

I have it on very good authority that pink is a girl / child's color, while purple/lavender is more a woman / adult's color. Bunch of the ladies told me this, and when I asked my not quite 12 year old about it she said Pink.

So that's as far as I got on expert advice.

I wouldn't think you would have the same clientele for an AR-15 as you would for a Cricket. Let us know how they do.

Don't tell anyone, but I'm going to send freemind a pink cricket for Christmas.

    I'm hoping it'll match his bicycle. [^]

As LF already said (and who would know the women's firearms market better than a female gun dealer?), those pink guns are tough to sell. Generally the only buyers for them are men who purchase them because they think that their wives/girlfriends will like them. In reality I can't think of a single woman I've known who liked anything pink. Red yes, pink...No way.

My wife wants a purple gun. Need to find one for her before she insists I get the 238 with the titanium finish for her.

We have a stone cold babydoll that shoots at the local DNR range and she has a pink AR15. She shoots it better than most guy's do with an AR.

A couple girls on our youth team got pink ARs. I would of never gave it a second thought, but the girls could shoot, and shoot with an attitude that only girls with pinks ARs could.

I've had good luck with them, and most of the time it is the women coming in with the men and spotting them and thinking they are great. I am talking about handguns, I've never had the pink AR's in.

The pink laminated Crickett is by far my number one seller and I usually have around 7-8 varieties to choose from. Mostly "daddies" by them for their daughters.
