Gun prices, new and used

Is it just me or has the cost of guns gone through the roof the last few years?
Three guns that stand out in my memory, Rem 700 BDL 7MM Rem Mag, new cost $432.00. Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag $234.00 new. Weatherby Vanguard (Howa 1500) .300 WTBY Mag, $399.00 new. I don't know why those three guns and prices are stuck in my head now but when I look at used guns in stores or even online here and I see the used prices these three guns pop in my head and talk me right out of buying.
I've seen used Howa 1500s going for over $500, used Rem BDLs for $800+ and recently a used 835 priced at $200 that was showing quite a bit of wear.
I remember buying used Mossberg 500s for $100, not no more, add $200 to those prices. The good ol days of Yugo SKSs on Southern Ohio Gun for $59.00, HA not no more!
Unless I see something I just gotta have, I shop by price tag. When it comes to used guns again unless it is something I just gotta have and that happens sometimes I am not paying the price of a new one!
Maybe it's just me and I'm having a hard time accepting inflation but a Rem 700 used will NEVER be worth $800 to me nor will a used Mossberg ever be worth more than maybe $150. When buying online as you are all aware shipping and transfer adds to the cost greatly on used guns. Take that $200 Mossberg, say $20 to ship and $25 transfer, that gun just cost more than I bought mine for brand new. Sorry but my gun buying days are limited. I like used guns but not at new or greater than new prices.
Yeah sure I can shop around the auctions for good deals and yes they are there but in my current employment situation some sellers get pissy when they find out I'm in the middle east working and I need the gun shipped to a dealer in another state who holds the guns for me. That also brings up a payment issue, I bought a pair of guns from Doc and paying for them turned out to be a nitemare. I'm sure those of you who have been deployed understand the pains of sending $$ for payments. Some sellers get stupid when you mention Western Union, paypal is out for guns and unless the seller takes credit cards it is almost impossible to submit a timely payment. And there is the cost, bringing the cost of a used gun even higher!!
I'm just complaining, don't mind me.

What burns me more is seeing some genuinely great deals and just not having the $$$ to use to jump hard on them! [:(]
Whats even worse is when it's a piece that I've been keeping my eyes open for and I find it sure nough, but don't find the small amount needed available at the moment! [:(] [V] [:(]
I still find good buys out in the real world but don't really look very hard. I passed the point of buying guns just for kicks a long time ago. I usually only buy what I have a real use for, or at least think I do. [:D]
the wholesale prices has seen a big increase[:(]
