Everyone is right about 40. Satisfaction with life takes a great upward turn. Sex is better, a cup of coffee after a meal is a wonderful experience, You notice things in nature you never have before. The desire to kill deminishes. You don't give a damn what people think about you anymore. You cherish reflection and can laugh at the irony of life. You become somewhat more forgiving of people.

In short, you beat the odds. You've survived car wrecks, electrocution, execution, murder, lighting strikes, drowning, snakebite, jealous husbands, plane crashes, doctors, autoerotic choking, and being trampled by elephants.

I turned, made it, whatever....last October.

All the years of hard, manual labor, have taken it's toll already. Knees, left shoulder, neck, lower back....and I gained a little weight when I broke my foot and twisted a knee.....ugh...

Thank you all!

Getting ready to go to dinner, then get rid of the kids for the night and get out for a night on the town for a change. As a single parent that doesn't happen very often. A night out without kids is probably the best gift I can get.
