Airsoft and others like them

anybody here know much about them, due to the cost of ammo I was looking at them for a little target pratice. Don't know a thing about the best for the money Advise please and thanks.[:p]

    I know that it's bad practice to wave one at a Policeman.

    So far I have only gone down to the level of building .22 "clones" of stuff to save money. If ammo prices keep this up I may be looking too.

    I know there are several different levels of airsoft guns. There are the cheep spring fired ones for $20 all the way up to "real" guns that just happen to fire pellets but still cost the price of the real thing.

    No, I've never even handled one.

    But I have read of people dying for that mistake ( I think)

    Maybe I'm making this all up in my gourd.
