Movie Action

Watched the DeNiro movie "Heat" Sunday. In the scene of the failed bank robbery, the action occurs downtown in a big city during work hours with lots of civilians around. There is terrific gunfire, much of it full auto as the robbers run down the street among civilians. Yet the only causalities I saw were half a dozen or so cops and even fewer bad guys.

IMHO if this had been real life the block would have been littered with civilian causalities and blood. Comments?
