Hondo, read my explanation of Col. North, and erase from your mind what some of those Communists said about the Great Col. North. In the future, if you get confussed about anything...just ask me. It will make your life easier![;)]

    I'd like know how some people make it so you can click on a word and it goes to the link. If you can tell how my posts are getting stretched, please let me know as it is really annoying to scroll sideways.
    If you want to link a URL to a word in you post, it will look something like this:

    {url="LongStringURL"}Word(s) in post{/url}

    You can also use it to link a picture to a URL.

    For example, if you click on Smith & Wessons you will see a picture of two Smith & Wessons.

    If you click on the small picture it will link to a large picture:

    SigPart1a.jpg

    Any time somebody posts something and you wonder "how did they do that?" just click on "reply with quote" and look at what they actually typed.

    I didn't want to say anything until I knew it was a done deal. I have a new job. I'm going to be working as a Handy/Maintenance Man for Famous Daves Bar-B-Que. They have 3 stores here in northern Utah. One in Layton, one in West Jordan, and one in Midvale. I'm excited about it.

    Thank you. Neat trick about the "reply with quote" too. I have at least learned to use the "preview" button to see if it looks the way I intended it.

    DIE LONG URL NAZI SCUM!! DIE!

    It worked!! Thanks for the education. This should be a sticky.

    You don't have to understand it, just duplicate the process.

    .com, .net (and other .thigns like .edu) are TLD - top level domains. Organizational heirarchy for the web.

    A URL is a Uniform Resource Location - specifies a protocol, host name, possibly port, and path to a file.

    Geek 101 will continue next week with the proper pronunciation of "HTTP" - hint - study Bill the Cat.
