NEW GUNS that are fouled

I have bought a few "new" Ruger revolvers and when I took them apart as I do to all new guns to make sure everything is cleaned and ready to go, I have found these to be heavily fouled. The dealer states that they are new from the factory and any fouling that they have is from factory testing. Has this been the common practice of firearm manufactures to test-fire a hand gun, then turn them out to market absolutly uncleaned. I personaly would expect the factory to clean their product before they distribute it. Has anyone else found their new guns to be dirty from the factory?

Everyone of them, But my sharps from David Pedrasoli was one of the cleanest guns I have ever gotten. 99% of the time I don't even look down the bore, I know its nasty and just clean it then shoot then clean again.and the wives say we never clean anything. [;)]

Bought a new S&W model 19. It locked up on the third shot. Could not get the cylinder open. Returned it ot factory. Got a very nasty letter stating that it had to be keep clean. And, as much as it had been shot,it was extremely dirty. Wrote them back and told them I had bought it for a personal gun,and I was the only one who had even seen it.Also told them if that is how they operate, I would not be selling any more S&W's through my store. Never heard another word from them.[:(!]

A friend of mine had a customer who didn't like getting a dirty
Anaconda, said it was used and wanted to return it.
They called Colt about it and was told that they are fired up to
twenty times before they leave the factory.

They don't have time to clean them.
Proof em and pack em and out the door.

    You can't miss fast enough.
