I saw on CNBC a report on ammo being bought for government use and they talked about millions of rounds of .22 being bought. Is this for practice as I am thinking or what do you all think?????

What would they need 22's for? Or for that matter why use hollow point for practice?

You might be on to something Mike. Remember just because I'm paranoid, don't mean they're not out to get me.[8D]

Maybe they realize they cant ban firearms so they will ban the manufacture of ammo, but before they do, they are going to warehouse a 100 year supply for themselves.

I find only one bid request fitting this and the quantities are rather small.

That's a bid request, not an order. Only sales orders matter. Bid requests and contracts are meaningless in the Federal procurement system. It is not the same world most people comprehend.

As DHS covers over 100,000 officers including some in the wildlife end of things, I'm not surprised by the calibers listed.

How small or if they even get it does not matter.

Why do they need these odd calibers for training or LEOs. Why even order it, or offer a contract.

Somethings not right no matter how many times you tell us there not going to get that much

Federal prisons use 30/30 rifles or at least they used to.
