.22LR Target Pistol School Clubs

I've been getting conflicting information about this. Are there high schools in the U.S.A. that have .22LR Target Pistol Teams / Clubs??? The answers I've received from the help at gun shops range from "Yes, but not here in Arizona" to "Are you freakin' nuts? What school would let kids shoot guns?"

Anybody know of any?

There once was a time, but I think the wake of Columbine, those days are gone.

You'd be lucky to find air rifles at high schools nowadays.

Theyb used to have an indoor rimfire range in a Seattle high school all the way into the 70s but it was converted to another sport and they allowed archery in the field. Now the archery is even banned.
