So you hate PayPal/eBay for their antigun policies

And you boycott and/or close your account with both in protest. Well, be sure and terminate all of your business with these anti-gun companies and sell your stock if you own any:

AOL/TimeWarner (be sure and close your telephone/internet/TV service), AT&T, Ben & Jerry's, CNN, ABC Television, CBS, Clorox Corp., Dannon Yogurt, Walt Disney Co. (no more buying/watching Disney movies or visiting Disney theme parks), Gateway Computers (I know some on here use a Gateway computer), GEICO, HBO, Hallmark Cards, Levi Straus (make sure no one in your family wears Levi jeans), MTV Television, Sara Lee (no more eating Sara Lee products), ShowTime Network, Starbucks (no more buying their products), Southwestern Bell, BlockBuster (no more renting movies), PBS Television, Time Magazine.

Be sure and boycott watching any movie, sporting event, etc. in which any anti-gun actors/actresses/celebrities are involved.

For a list, go here.

The point I was trying to make with you and you seem to be totally ignoring it was...

YOU ARE BLOCKING A LOT OF OTHER PPL FROM BIDDING BY STATING ONLY PPL WIHT PAY PAL ACCOUNTS CAN BID....

The fact they are anti gun is why a lot of ppl wont use pay pal ...and therefore you have blocked all them from bidding on your stuff....

I've been Not Doing Business With ATT, southwestern bell, and blockbuster for some time now because of that.

(plus, swb fried my telephone and they refuse to admit they did anything wrong)

fine, if the owners are anti-gun let them do what they want with the money they make and on their own time, but if they want to politicize their business it's a two way street.

by the way, did you know that it's written in your service contract with sbc, that they're only liable for damage to your phone equipment 30 days after they hook up the service? they hook up your phone, and if it gets zapped, they say it's not their fault because it hasn't been 30 days yet, therefore they couldn't have zapped it.

    sbc can go to hell.

so can geico. I asked for a quote on a new vehicle, and they ended up sending a letter that I was supposed to get my neighbors to fill out verifying where I live. dropped them in 2 seconds flat.

BlackRoses, I didn't ignore your statement---I responded on the other thread; but, I'll repost it here.

It does matter, to me, who or whom I've stopped from bidding on my item that are legit. Unfortunately, I've had winning bidders on eBay that did not pay. Evidently, you haven't. If there are precautions I can take to minimize this from happening, I'll take them. Same as any seller would on GB. You can maintain a PayPal account and never use it. It does matter to me that at the end of my auction---I get paid by the winning bidder and the odds are, somewhat, better of being paid, if the winning bidder has a PayPal account.

In all the years selling on ebay, we had one(1) non paying bidder....

and we took money orders, check and even cash if you wanted to send it that way....but we sure didnt block anyone bidding on anything just because they didnt want to use money orders (just using money orders instead of pay pal)

Everyone was able to bid on anything we listed, not just those who paid cash or checks...

Sometimes because of locale a person has no choice but to use some of the anti gun companies you have listed (are they anti gun or just the CEO and/or owner etc) but you have the choice of not using pay pal as there are other avenues open to you...cash, money orders, checks etc..

    More on benetau's procedure:

In addition to requiring only PayPal customers for bidding, I just found out it is more secure (to those who wish to take the extra step)...to structure your seller's account to allow only PayPal customers that have a verified address.

It will eliminate a lot of hassles from those playing head-games. I'm not one to get an ulcer over this...True, it will prevent some bidders from doing business. So what. To me E-bay is nothing more than an electronic yard-sale. Joe

Blackroses - I'm with you on NOT using the paypal system. Have sold over 2000+ sales and have had next to no problems with checks, money orders, etc. Also have purchased 600+ using the same with next to no problems. If they don't pay then they don't get the product and I get my credit. Flip side though my friend will only use paypal for sales or buying but he doesn't due much volume at all.

I just allowed payment for an item over the internet with the buyer useing paypal today.
Paypal will let you use their service for firearms if you set up by their rules. No big deal to me and it is convenient.

I see and hear a lot of people boycotting for trivial stuff and disliking that person or this person for their beliefs. Whatever.

Is this a difference with PayPal outside of the United States?

I recall reading their rules, and the rules stated that virtually nothing related to firearms was to be paid for with the service. This was a few years ago, have things changed?

What did you have to do to "set up by their rules" and be able to use their service for firearms and related items? Can you provide a link to PayPal's Terms of Service/Rules showing this "set up" procedure to allow firearm/accessories to be paid for with the service?

Paypal will let you set up an account for preaproved sales of firearms.
They just want to know that everything is done legally with their service.
Here is a little info on the bottom of this link.

    and another link.

Actually, you can set your gun related business up to use Paypal, but it must be approved by Paypal before hand... and I've not found a checklist of objective criteria... seems to be based on a combination of the whim of Suzy on the 3rd floor and what color socks the janitor is wearing that day.

as much as i hate anti gunners that is a long, long list, i question it because ben and jerry's have been long removed, and suspect a few others that may or may not be a personal vendetta, for a person to be 100% true to it, you may have to turn off your tv, quit eating all together, and burn your car, sounds a bit like becoming ted kaczynski

I was talking to girl that delivers my mail the other day and she wants Hillary for president.
I guess since I am against hillary for president I should have told her I no longer would use her mail service and boycott her?
Nope this is still America and she has every right to be stupid, but I still want my USPS mail delivered.
