Sausage on the grill

..We tried something different for a change last night. The store had what they call "Jamaican Bratwurst". I asked the butcher about it and was told they grind in a bit of pineapple, mango, etc. and some jerk seasoning. Being natural casing, I ran a bamboo kabob skewer end to end to keep them straight. (never thought of that before)
..Very good with just a hint of heat that wasn't overpowering. Being "brats" I put them on a roll with onion and mustard. That skewer trick makes sausage easier to turn evenly.
..We had steamed green beans and peas plus zucchini fried in olive oil, all just picked from the garden. Leftovers of everything for supper tonight. Life is good....[^]

..Oh yeah, we've grilled zucchini every which way. It's all good. Then, Cathy makes a killer zucchini bread. Asparagus season is way done around here and the store bought just doesn't measure up to the wild stuff. After Mothers' Day, we ate asparagus every day until we were getting tired of it. Like shroom hunters we have our spots...[;)]

....Foodie, yes. Facebook...well that's a realm I don't explore. I really don't need to know where everyone is every minute and when they go to the bathroom...[:0]

I like the skewer idea for the sausage. Never thought of that.

..I don't know why I never thought of it before either. When you try to get the concave sides browned, they always want to roll over.
..I used bamboo skewers but I have flat steel ones and some steel cable ones with solid, sharp points for kabobs. You can coil them on the grill.
