I just make my own anymore.
A LOT cheaper.
Tannerite is the best brand going. Star Targets are ok, but you can shoot a 1/2 pound can and it not go off. I never heard of a failure with Tannerite.
There's one brand on the market now that flashes when it explodes. This might look cool when wrapped with a zip lock bag of gasoline.
The ones I used to buy had a minimum 55gr@~2000fps on the label.

i would like the recipe also
I abbreviated so I wouldn't get put on the chit list.[:D][:D][:D]
About 1/2lb of 1st and tsp.-tbs of 2nd.
you could add potassium perchlorate to the tannerite to cause the flash
Then add little Zink powder and it will go off by it self [:)]

...I wouldn't advise that. The mix will be much more sensitive to
shock or static electricity. Magnesium or titanium will give
more of a flash effect, but I don't know how it would increase the
sensitivity.
...I'll stick with the AN and AL. I know it's safe to handle.
(approx. 95% and 5% by weight)
...A .17 caliber works....sometimes. I use .223 as a minimum.
