Heading out for three weeks

I will be on a plane to Istanbul Sunday morning for three weeks of business and travel. I have been to Istanbul only once before and it is truly one of the worlds great cities. I have a short trip to Sofia Bulgaria lined up to visit with friends and finally get to take a look at the remodeling that has been going on at my apartment for the last three months (I am told it is finished). From there it is on to Bucharest (Romania), Chisinau (in Moldova) and then a few days in Odessa (Ukraine) kicking back on the beach during the days and then some very hard drinking in the evenings with some business acquaintances (although I hear that one is back in prison [:(!]). It is a 90 minute flight from Odessa to Istanbul so I should have three or four days at the end of the trip to explore the city in depth and hopefully make the trip to Gallipoli where the famous WWI battle took place. It should be a fun trip and if you don't hear from me on the boards for three weeks you will know why! Best to all, Mark

Make sure you come back in the same status you left.
Out of curiosity, if you are abducted and sold into the sex slave business, should I phone Liam Neesan? Or you planning on running with it for a week or two?
Have fun.
Have fun and know that I'm jealous.
Have a great trip![^]

Try to get to Cappadocia, it is the best part of Turkey that I found while there. SO much to see there, you can't even begin to cover it all in a month. Also, in Istanbul, go to the largest covered market (I forget the name, sorry) and alllllll the way in the back, when you come back out into the open is a guy selling gyros. They are the absolute best that I found anywhere in Turkey. There was a guy right beside him that sold fresh squeezed lemonade that was incredible, too!
I loved Turkey, and hope to go back again some day.
