How much will you take.....
if _____________does ___________I will_______________

I cannot get over the sherrif in AZ trying to prevent the invasion of his county with the only legal means possible (with teeth) and there are actual groups of Americans trying to prevent him from upholding THE LAW
I know so many people who think this is no big deal, haven't even formed an opinion because they are ignorant or appethetic. It makes me physically ILL
I can barely contain myself as I write this....but then I know short of voteing, there is nothing that can or will be done...
I think it will take riots in the streets to get this stopped because all but a few politicians don't want to live or die by this issue.

The line in the sand is this: If they turn off the TV programing, Cable, etc. That will piss us off enough to hit the streets. Thats what it will take. Nothing less, nothing more. Its not a joke, its the truth.

Bloodless revolutions are possible. They did it in Georgia (the country not the state) with the Rose Revolution and they did it in the Ukraine with the Orange Revolution. What this country needs is a Red, White, and Blue Revolution, and it can be done without firing a shot. It's improbable, but not impossible.

Imagine if 50 million Americans stopped going to work and marched in the streets everyday, demanding that our current oppressors resign from their political offices. No work, no business, the country would be at a standstill each day until the President, Vice-President, and those in Congress step down. Emergency elections would be held at the earliest possible time. The emergency election would be held with NO electronic voting machines. All candidates would be forced to run as individuals on their own merits, NO PARTY AFFILIATIONS! It would be a felony to accept even one penny from any political action committee, lobbyist, special interest group, or business/corporation, only donations from individuals would be accpeted and only at a maximum amount of $1000 per person.

I have not seen any folks in the street complaining. Nothing on the TV channels about protesting. A revolution, in this country, what could possibly get us into the street. We are all afraid, only would happen if we would all go out at the same time. If I went I would be by myself. People are mad but only complaining among their friends and relatives. Government officials know this and fear us less than the minority groups that will hit the streets. They are organized and driven to act out their issues. We are not! Nothing will happen!

It will have to rachet up quite a few levels from where we are right now before you will see any action. Lots of chit chat but no action.

this is what I am saying....and what I am asking. when will it be enough to get some active response? when it is too late? oh I got a BMW payment to make or my house payment to make...well with gas this high...but the war in the middle east....my church says...how many would take even one day off work to protest this? how many will write a letter to every representative they have...
let alone take up arms or join the minute men send money for fencing how many will even VOTE?

As long has folks have enough to eat and something to watch on TV, they will be happy. The romans called it "bread and circuses" and it kept the empire intact until the barbarians were at the gates.

i wrote both my representative and my senator. got a canned reply back from the senator (but atleast he sent one) and no reply from the representative even after i emailed him three times. i agree with the above replies, it would take alot to get americans off their axxes and take some real action.

Think about this. A fair percentage of people in office don't have the cajones to take a stand on this issue. Why? Because they are afraid of getting booted out of office or not reelected by the Mexican voters or booted out by us on the other side. It is sad and pizzes me off, but in many areas, Mexicans will have the majority vote because the rest of us don't or won't participate in the election process as we could. Glad I'm gettin old.[:)]

That is pretty funny. Maybe a year or two years ago on here the general concensious (my opinion included) was that if gas EVER hit $3.00 a gallon there would be riots in the streets because Americans just wouldn't stand for it. Well I guess the popular opinion on gunbroker can't always be right.

Well they need to go to Mexico and cry in their corona for help. All they are doing here is dragging our way of life down into the crapper. If they truely want a better life let them come here legally and pay their taxes and such like the rest of us.

    Americans.....

As long as an American can sit on the couch, drink a beer, watch a ball game and keep a roof over their head; they won't get up to do anything about any matter as long as the cable still works.

People going Bankrupt have cable or satellite TV service on their court budget, the court approves it.

The line in the sand appears to be missing a broadcast of "American Idol." Then there will be chaos is the streets.

Darnit, Paulie, I've honestly had the same thoughts about myself. If I can just die soon enough, I won't have to learn Spanish. (And I say this only half tongue in cheek.)

If they try to take one of my guns I wont let them. Other than that, things are too good in this country to get people mobilized. Most people have good jobs, nice houses and plenty of food. Comfortable people rarely protest. That and our attention spans are so short the government can distract us with a new problem every week. Remember when we(I mean the general public) cared about immigration reform? That is quickly being replaced by concern for domestic wire tapping. Look closely, when the public starts to care about a problem, a new problem imerges to side track them.
