I am a lover of Winchester model 12's and i was wondering how many of you out there owned/liked/disliked them?

Never owned one, my friend has one, the shell stick in the chamber when he ejects them fast, but that can be fisxed. I heard someone else had the same problem. But his is pretty old. I wouldint mine having one.

Great shotgun, nearly infallible and extremely rugged. Only negative is the weight. It's heavy.

My favorite one is a 1927 edition, 12 ga. 32" Full choke, solid ribbed barrel (it was originally my grandpa's gun... he bought it new). I have several other Model 1912/12s as well, but they are mainly collector grade guns. Best damn slide-action ever made! (and I do own a few Winchester Model 1897s too).

I have an early fifties late forties model in twelve gauge. Only bought it so Tools could use it dove hunting when he came up. His was not ejecting at the time and he didn't want to use one of my other shotguns, not even the sweet sixteen! I have come to like it a lot. Very smooth and easy swinging gun. Can shuck shells faster than the 870. Much faster. And it has the famous old Winchester shotgun barrels that hold a pattern better than any other shotguns I've ever shot. Feels like you move the slide an inch to move the action three. Incredible.

I have a few md 12s, 12,16,20 & 28. Field grades, Skeet, Trap, Pigeon. They are all great! Got my first one about 36 years ago, been buying them ever since. they just fit right, and have a reach that I haven't seen in other guns. My 1912, 20 ga. shoulders the best out of the 7 20 gauges I have. Have a couple of "Duck" Md 12s heavy, but the geese don't stand a chance. " The Greatest Hamerless Repeating Shotgun Ever Built". The baby Md 12, (Md 42s) are just as sweet! regards Dave

What's not to like. I have two of most flavors, two 12 gauge 3" duck gun, two 12 gauge 2 3/4, two 16 gauge, two 20 gauge, and two model 42s but no 28 gauges. And 16 gauge model 97. I also picked up a couple of junky poly-choke 12 gauge guns for parts. The 20 gauge with a 26" cylinder bore barrel is great for opening day doves, the 12 gauge 3" 30" full choke is great for turkeys but it is heavy with no sling. Machined nickel steel, how wonderful.

Always loved pumps. Have 3 M12's for skeet, trap and ducks. Gonna get a 20 ga. for grouse. Used other pumps over the years but always go back to the model 12's. Fast-smooth-great patterns. Can't beat em.

Model 12's are what other pump guns aspire to be when they grow up.

I've got one. Mechanically it is a great gun ,but it doesn't fit me well. I've been thinking about re-stocking it.

Mine was made in 1925(I think).
Bought it about 15 years ago from
    a guy needing cash($125).It's very
used, but still worked fine until the
thing that holds the shells in the tube
broke.Haven't gotten around to getting it
    fixed,but will someday.

my dad and i have one that is a hand me down from my great grandfather. it is a 16 ga. he got it when he was around 15. he paid some thing like 30 dollars for it back in the 30's. I don't recall us having any problems with it other than the stock is too long for us to pull it up quickly for bird hunting, but my dad will usually take it out squirel hunting about once a year to take a trip down memory lane. I personally think that it is a very nice gun and it is in good shape for a hunting gun that old.
