I have on with the hammer. I want to remove the spur off the hammer will it still have enough mass to hit the primer hard enough.

    I have one with the "spurless hammer".
    By removing your hammer and grinding it as needed to fit your wishes, I'm sure it will still have enough mass to ignite the primer.
    However the internal workings will still not be the same as the models that were MANUFACTURED without the hammer spur.
    The 85 that I have is strictly a DAO revolver.
    Even if I can get ahold of the hammer, there is no mechanism in place to lock the hammer back and fire the handgun in SA mode.
    I should add that it is the smoothest DA trigger pull I have ever experienced.

    Maybe you should grind it down just enough to where you can still shoot it single action if you want, but still enough to make it to where it won't snag on your pocket or anything else if you have to draw it fast.

    I was going to rind it down but I still want to be able to get a hold of it for single action. I have a colt like this but but I dont know what was done to it. Thanks guys. Ill post when its done

    These are pretty cool. It's got a thumb tab where you can shoot it single action if you want.
